The Nautilus
The ocean, in all its vast mystery, is reflective of our human depths of experience and emotion. The nautilus, an ocean creature with a spiral chambered shell, has been on the earth since prehistoric times, also reminding us of our own stories and connections to a rich history of life, meaning, and wisdom.
A nautilus grows chambers through its life, which can house its new forms as it grows in size. It then will use all of its growth chambers to enable it to rise and fall through the ocean waters…to move itself further than it ever could before. Similarly, with each new segment of growth, we too become more and more of ourselves, accessing more of our capacity to move through challenges.
As humans we grow ourselves through the currents of life, creating more space for ourselves as we become more and more of who we began as, at our center. Sometimes our sense of center, of balance, and of clarity in who we are and how we want to be, becomes clouded over in the vast and swift swimming tides of life. Center of Being exists as a space to honor all phases and parts of a person and their life, and whether more motion or more stillness is required for that, we provide for that expanse.
Like the nautilus, as people we can be both soft and hard,
both flexible and fixed…
at times we propel upward toward the open air, other times diving deep into emotional depths that can unearth things unforeseen. Moving through the cooler and the warmer waters in life we continue finding our path of growth, which is different for us all, and our diverse water ways spiral us each into unique designs.
Our path in life is not a straight line….
we spiral in to what we have been through before, seeing in it what we did not, or perhaps truly knowing it for the first time. When we allow ourselves, we can see the whole picture and make sense of and integrate the pieces of our experiences, of ourselves.
Center of Being is here to be a place of resonance, of reflection, a time to allow you a way to capture an awareness that is broader and more fully accepting of all you have been or tried to be in this life.
